Recently I presented at a women’s weekend retreat: “Reinventing Yourself through Your Divine Silliness.” It was deliciously fun! AND… I got to see how a short, simple RIM® process can create greater happiness and render profound answers.
Guiding the group through a few virtual steps, it was amazing to see how each person received perfect answers unique to them. I could not have given them these answers, but their imagination quickly identified the block and rendered a specific way to solve this problem by bringing silliness. As adults we sometimes think we must leave silliness to the kids. When we lock ourselves into being serious, the world just isn’t as much fun… no matter what we are doing.
As these women allowed themselves permission to inch into some silliness, their imaginations took off in pursuit of answers to their unique questions. Some received creative ideas for their project problems. Others discovered they actually could get more done while being silly because they felt energized; they shared, “Wow, I never considered I could be silly while I’m working on a serious project.” Another woman felt a physical healing from childhood sexual abuse, while someone else who had suffered a devastating loss of a loved one realized how important it is to enjoy greater silliness with her toddler.

Take a deep cleansing breath and let it settle down into your belly… as the exhale easily releases through the base of your spine, you’ll sense the inside of your body like it was 3-dimensional.
As you sense your inner space, your imagination gives you a number between 1-10 of how serious you are being… with 10 being the max…
As you receive this number as best as possible and release any need to edit… you imagine stepping into that number and being in it…
Being here, you sense where in your body is calling your attention the most… and focus your awareness there now…
What is the size… big or small or in between shape… specific or amorphous… and color…
As you easily sense how this energy looks, you move your attention into it… where your imagination gives you an image of what relationship, issue or project is suffering because of too much seriousness.
Receiving this awareness, image, word or knowing as fully as possible… your spirit turns the image into a video where you see how it looks as you introduce more silliness into the situation… Take a minute…
Moving your awareness into the movie, you feel what it’s like to live this new lighter way of being… Take whatever time you need to experience it fully…
When you’re complete… you become aware of your body and how it feels now…
As full feeling returns to your body and mind, you remember everything important…
