Finding Your Peace and Center in the Midst of Daily Busyness

December 8, 2017 by Dr. Deb Sandella Dealing with Stress, Holiday Meditation, Meditate, Perspective, True Self, Uncategorized

During my meditation this week, I felt my hands buzzing with activity, yet they felt disconnected from the rest of my body. I didn’t notice till I closed my eyes and focused inward; it was a bit shocking to feel reduced to busy hands without a body. It seemed there was nothing substantial to sustain my mindless activity, and I could sense growing tired.

As I brought my awareness into my hands, the neuron pathway to my core lit up and I began to feel like a whole person again. I noticed I became more focused and there were fewer errors from rushing. It was a strange sensation to feel I had hurried so much, that I had left myself behind.

Take a moment from whatever you’re doing to sit peacefully, and take a few deep breaths, bringing your attention back into your body, and notice how it feels.

Join me for a 5 minute RIM Experience by clicking the play button below, where you’ll bring yourself into balance, so your lovely and powerful presence is who you bring to each day’s “busyness”:

Written RIM Experience:

Find a place that’s quiet and private, then take a few minutes to get your body comfortable

As you’re ready, let your eyes close as you take a few deep, cleansing breaths. With each exhale, you can sense your shoulders relaxing more and more and more.

As your attention focuses inside your body notice what’s calling your attention and where. Take a minute.

As you sense this, your imagination gives the energy size, shape and color, notice if its moving, you’ll notice the specifics.

As you have this, move your attention into it as best as you can.

Notice what happens and how you feel.

As your attention is here in your body, you’ll notice the neurological pathway to your spine begin to light up.

As you sense it you easily follow with your attention until your awareness is in your core Rest here just like sitting on your own royal throne.

Notice how this feels different than it did before.

Sense how it feels to be aware of the rest of your body from this place.

Take a minute.

As you’re ready, your imagination will flash a sense of what you look like and how you act during the coming holidays as you rest in your center notice what you’re wearing how you’re speaking and what’s important.

As you have a sense of this, jump into the movie and live it.

Notice how it feels.

(Pause)

Bringing your attention back to the room, you automatically bring this vivid memory with you. It is always with you It rests inside your body in the perfect spot.

Much Love…
Dr. Deb
