“Tears shed for another person are not a sign of weakness.
They are a sign of a pure heart”
Jos N. Harris
Today is a very sad day for Colorado… Last night a 24 year-old graduate student randomly took twelve lives and injured fifty-nine others at the midnight opening of the new Batman movie.
Our hearts ache for the family and friends of those who died and those injured. This month’s newsletter is a prayer in honor of these blessed spirits…
Prayer in Honor of These Blessed Spirits
As we take a deep cleansing breath, bow our heads and sigh with an exhale… it feels more like a wail as we remember those who have gone. We bring our weeping voices together all over Colorado and the world to cry for those whose lives have been injured and taken by another….in Aurora…in Syria…in Bulgaria. We open our hearts to do what we can… we send Love and healing. We are not helpless… for Love in all forms heals both receiver and giver.
This day, we open ourselves to receive the power of Love and to channel our love to those who are suffering; for we are all one. We bleed when we are cut… we cry when we are hurt. It is our way of being human and adapting to a physical world.
Dearest One who created us, love and heal us now. Let the lives taken not be done so in vain. May their passing bring greater wisdom and evolution. May this incident cause us to become more civilized and less violent. May we become better people having learned from such loss.
I surrender to you Great Lover of the Universe to harvest us into a society that produces greater Love.
And so it is…
