How far are you willing to go?…
Have you noticed how you feel when you’re pushed to the limit out of your comfort zone? Get irritated? Retreat? Push back? Feel anxious? Just do it?
I found it interesting to notice the theme woven through the Oscar-nominated movies to be–Pushing Through our Human Limits. Some imposed internally and others externally.
The intensity of hitting up against the edge of what’s familiar seems scary at first, yet each baby step moves us forward into growing excitement. In fact, research shows each time we do something new and different no matter how minor, our biochemistry gets extra feel-good hormones. Even driving to work a new way excites a shot of serotonin. Our bodies reward us for stretching beyond what’s known. It’s our nature to enjoy comfort and it’s our destiny to push beyond it.
I know personally the process of being draw forward and hitting up against doubt and fear. Step by step by step… Little by little, the doubts disappear an passion takes over. It’s a dynamic process with moments of fatigue, stagnation, exhilaration and fulfillment.
What is pushing you to stretch? A job project? Challenges from a partner? A drive to fulfill your dream goal? An inner urge to make a difference in your health, your happiness, your family, your world?
It’s calling you to move into the unfamiliar rather than be chased by it.
Together let’s face our fears so we can quickly realize these illusions are imaginary. Like the monsters in the closet we feared as kids, these too can be calmed by the mature loving parent we’ve become. We have everything we need to comfort and encourage ourselves forward.

Allowing your eyes to gently close… you can feel your breath moving in through your nose and out through of your mouth…Taking another deep breath into the count of 1234-hold it 4321 and exhale 1234 and hold it 4321
As your breath settles into its natural rhythm,
your attention settles down inside your body just above your belly button
Breathing in and through your navel
your imagination brings you a sense of what you’re pushing through
It may be an image, word, a picture of someone, a project
As you sense it, what you are pushing through-becomes clear… Just like that?(snap),
and you receive it as much as you can
Shift your attention over into it and feel the energy
As you look out of the perspective, you’ll sense
What I’m pushing through is
Whats on the other side is
What its going to take for me to get through it is
What I am becoming is
Shifting back to yourself look over at the issue and notice how it has changed in how it looks, feels and sounds…?
As you embrace it as best as you can
A magical mirror appears before you-with-an image of you after you have successfully pushed through Notice the sparkle in your eyes, the confidence in your body and the excitement in your presence
Step into this image and
become your-true successful and excited self
Settle into it and become it noticing how it feels
